Shared equipment should be kept to a minimum and everyone should sanitise their hands before and after the activity.A leader or parent/carer MUST ensure that current Government guidelines are followed at all times (including social distancing, travel etc).A leader or parent/carer MUST assess risk before taking part.Activity MUST be supervised by a leader or parent/carer at ALL times.Make the game more difficult by having plenty of obstacles in the field of play so young people can hide behind them. The player that was tagged must walk back to their team’s base before being back “in play” as per normal. Once they are tagged, the opposition team must return the flag to their base straight away. If a player is carrying the flag, they can be tagged by the opposition team in either half. During covid restrictions you may wish to consider other ways of ‘tagging’ such as throwing soft balls, water bombs, nerf guns or just getting within 2 metres of the other player. Capture the flag (CTF) is a traditional outdoor sport where two or more teams each have a flag (or other markers) and the objective is to capture the other. Start all players at a neutral location on the edge of the playing area. The player who was tagged must walk back to return to their team’s home base before they are “in play” again.
